Joining us means joining a truly global community of more than 36,300 people dedicated to solving real-world mobility challenges and achieving international projects with sustainable local impact.JOB TITLEWelding TechnicianDURATIONTemporary, 12 months.LOCATIONBarcelona, Santa Perpetua de la MogodaPURPOSE OF THE JOBMAIN RESPONSIBILITIESDesign Control:Study and control solutions as long as the Product/Project is in accordance with the recommendations of Process Engineering and the cost objectives.Within the Workshop:Complementing the trainer, guarantees targeted theoretical training to Welders for the new procedures that are due to implement, the particular samples, quality, and safety.Verification through the Welding Monitor that welders have at their disposal the necessary technical and documentary means for the proper execution of their tasks.Listen to the Welding Monitors to solve, with the help of the Welding Engineer, if necessary, the problems they detect.Continuous Improvement.Qualification of Welding Procedures and Samples (WPQR, WPS):Start the internal manufacturing or subcontracting of the realization of the samples and models determined by the Welding Engineer and guarantee its follow-up.Guarantee the good start by the Welding Trainer of the samples and different materials necessary for training and qualification of welders.Perform, with the help of the Welding Former, the WPQR and the Mockups (WPS).Manage and interpret macro and micrographic controls.Prepare the models (WPS) to elaborate Welding Instructions and Welding Repairs Instructions for Non-Conformities.Manage and guarantee the monitoring of the qualifications of the Welders.Organize qualifications to be carried out and advise the Welding Trainer.Perform Welding Instructions in projects where they are required.Help within the scope of the Welding Trainer to organize the training and qualifications of Welders.As a Welding Inspector, validate the WPQR defined internally and validate the qualifications of Welders presented by the Trainer Welding.Participate in the definition and implementation of new materials and validation of new welding equipment.Help define consumable needs.MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCESEducational Requirements:Technical Engineering or Professional Schools.
Theoretical and practical knowledge of the welding process, requirement according to UNE EN ISO 14731 standard with minimum qualification required EWE (European Welding Engineer).Experience:Experience in the Railway industry.
