This is an exciting new role within our European business and will play a vital part in our Net Zero commitment and ambitious growth strategy, come and help us Power Change in Europe!
You will join a Renewables business that will lead activities across several Southern European countries with our major Hub in Spain.
The working environment will be international, diverse, inclusive and in growth mode.
The main objectives are to develop, build and own renewable energy plants - mainly Wind Technology but also Solar, Storage and Hydro across Europe to achieve our Net Zero commitments.
As part of the Technical Team, you will participate and support the development and design of Wind, Solar PV Plants and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in our portfolio.Key Responsibilities Lead the design of projects including wind, solar, batteries and hybrid facilities.Coordinate and validate detailed design by external suppliers.Assess and define strategic choices for the projects (Technology, sourcing, etc).Conduct CAPEX assessment and business case comparisons.What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:Technical knowledge in batteries and hybrid systems.Experience in a similar Technical Engineering role within a relevant project environment or industry, preferably Renewable Energy with a good understanding of Electrical Engineering.Excellent communication and presentation skills with a full command of English (B2 level) and Spanish both written and verbal for reporting.Skills and competency on continuous improvement, project management whilst demonstrating initiative, proactivity and creativity both independently and as part of a wider team.Ability to travel locally as required by Project.Next Steps Before commencing employment with SSE, you'll be required to fully complete our pre-employment screening process consisting of a basic criminal records and credit check.#J-18808-Ljbffr
