Job Description: A vacancy for a Head of Static Loads and Powerplant Interface has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe. The successful applicant will join the Engineering Department. The Flight Physics Centre of Competence (CoC) is a German-Spanish engineering organisation in Airbus Defence and Space - Aircraft and Systems. The organisation is responsible for the flight physics deliverables for all Airbus Military Aircraft programmes.
The competence management within the CoC is dealt with by 5 domains:
Aerodynamics
A/C Performance & Mass Properties
Structural Dynamics & Acoustics
Static Loads & Power Plant Interface
Flight Dynamics & Flight Control Laws
The deliveries to programmes are planned and driven by the Integration Managers of the CoC, who are also the Flight Physics interfaces to the Chief Engineering organisations. The interaction of domain managers and integration managers can be well expressed as a matrix organisation, i.e., domain managers as resource & competence managers versus the integration managers with programme budget and on time, on cost, on quality delivery target. On top, the CoC has strategic targets such as digitalization, standardization, simplification, and operational excellence.
