IE University is one of the leading institutions in the educational field. Our undergraduate and graduate programs are fully taught in English and combine a multidisciplinary approach to professional education.
The IE University International Mobility department is responsible for the exchange programs of undergraduate students, including outgoing and incoming students, and for the relationship with over 220 top partner universities around the world.
This position will be in IE University Madrid campus at the IE Tower.
The International Mobility coordinator helps the department direction in the operational activities required, being also a point of contact for IEU students and partner universities.
The coordinator will carry out all administrative tasks necessary for the smooth running of exchange programs, as well as for the development and launch of new initiatives.
Being a transversal department within IE University, it requires internal coordination and collaboration with the different bachelor programs and other relevant units on a daily basis.
The position will also be involved in the activities and tasks related to the Erasmus Program.
The IM Coordinator will report directly to the management of the IEU International Mobility department and to the Vice-Provost of Global Academic Partnerships & Alliances.
Responsibilities Key Action Areas
The candidate must feel comfortable working in a busy environment that will require multi-tasking and the ability to manage a high volume of work.
The chosen candidate should enjoy interacting with students and being a team player. The most relevant tasks managed by the coordinator include, but are not limited to:
Assist the department Director in the operational activities required for the undergraduate exchange programs.
Liaise and act as point of contact (coordination and constant communication) with the partner universities and with the different departments involved in the department's operations.
Participate in the preparation and launch of yearly International Mobility calls and relevant events (Welcome week, International Mobility Fair, IM Day, etc.)
Deliver informative sessions to outgoing exchange students at different stages of the process.
Attend and support the outgoing exchange students throughout their exchange nomination and application processes.
Support the team in all administrative tasks related to the Erasmus Program.
Manage a high volume of e-mail and respond on time to outgoing exchange students and partners' queries.
Compile and update databases with students and partners' information.
Manage the communication with internal and external stakeholders (outgoing students, partner universities, bachelor programs, IEU departments).
Design and support other activities that may be assigned.
Qualifications Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish, and excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- A track record of excellent customer service, organizational skills, and a can-do attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Analytical and critical thinking.
- Eager to learn and adaptable to change, open-minded, and excellent teamwork skills.
- Strong desire to work in a multicultural environment.
- Previous experience in project coordination, higher education, or in learning management systems is also an asset.
