A Logistics Specialist provides logistics support for data centre operations managers and staff. They manage stock levels of spare parts and supplies to maintain site operations whilst adhering to AWS Security policy and protocols. They maintain information on computer systems e.G. Inventory Management tools, ticketing systems and Microsoft Office products. They assist data centre operations in expediting requests from the data centres for stock. They may coordinate movement of equipment and parts between sites. They handle shipping and receiving activities and maintain related files, logs, records and other documentation. Key Job Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES: Processing daily incoming receipts Parts picks Prepare outgoing shipments Ensure all work areas are kept clean, safe and free from clutter. COMPLEXITY OF WORK: Responsibilities are routine in nature and generally do not vary. Operates with guidance from management and peers. Performs daily work without autonomy. Oversight and direction are required. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Able to work with computers Self-motivated. Ability to resolve easy day-to-day problems. Adheres to and is guided by Amazon's data centre security policies and protocols. Good attention to detail. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Ability to communicate with peers and within internal management. No direct people management responsibilities. Knows when to ask for help.
