.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Logistics Senior Specialist that will work closely with the 3PL, external storage service providers, and various internal business units, locally and regionally.
This position will be part of the Spain & Portugal logistics team, whose responsibility includes the areas of logistics, distribution, and transportation of the various product groups.
This position is critical to envisioning, creating, and sustaining business performance excellence in Global Logistics and overall Supply Chain Management directly supporting Spain and Portugal market Commercial Operations, in order to assure the best product supply and customer satisfaction, as well as meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.Main Responsibilities:Assure compliance with our Company's principles and guidelines are met in the day-to-day activities.Develop a strong working relationship with the internal and external stakeholders and take the lead in driving the projects towards the agreed goals, organizing processes, implementing direct effective actions, monitoring and presenting results and achievements.Identify strategies for operational savings and value capture opportunities.Represent the Distribution and Logistics department in the Quality Council.Provide support and, if needed, perform as functional backup on day-to-day activities within the Distribution and Logistics department.The primary activities include but are not limited to:Responsible for the organization of the dedicated routes of the Vaccines.Manage Daily Operations with 3PL Fi Go.Perform inventory reconciliation.Review metrics provided by the logistics operator.Organize product destructions complying with Our Company policies and Spanish Legislation.Issue Purchase Orders for Logistics Services.Review invoices issued by Service Providers, including Fi Go 3PL.Project management and execution.Skills Required:BA/BS or Master's degree (or both) in Engineering, Business, Science, Finance or Marketing.Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices.Knowledge of SAP SD/MM modules.Knowledge of the distribution business of pharmaceutical products.Knowledge of the operation of the Supply Chain.Pharma experience in Distribution and Logistics.Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate reports.Written and verbal English communication skills.Competencies:Ability to work and collaborate in a cross-functional environment.Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure.Ability to work independently.Focused on Clients and Patients.Strategic thinking.Current Employees apply HERECurrent Contingent Workers apply HERESearch Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully:Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities
