Join Ecolab's EU Logistics Team as a Logistics Project Manager to create and manage logistics projects in Europe in the areas of network, warehousing, transportation, processes & systems. Manage different projects at different stages at the same time.
What You Will Do: Manage different logistics projects technology solutions from reception through delivery ensuring completion of the project objectives on schedule. Meet with business unit management and staff to review new business and proposed systems to analyze feasibility of projects and critical success criteria. Engage key stakeholders, define and coordinate activities, communicate changes and progress, build commitment, overcome resistance, and lead technology implementation. Collaborate with functional areas to develop, define, and document technical systems, processes, operational requirements, and critical success criteria. Ensure solutions comply with all related Ecolab commercial rules and local, state, and federal regulations. Monitor performance metrics and measurements related to individuals, teams, processes, and projects. Utilize effective communication skills, employing diplomacy and sensitivity to resolve critical or escalated issues affecting the customer, staff, or senior management. Identify and document best practices as part of an ongoing process to increase improvement. Travel is required at least 30% of the time in this position, largely within Europe. A successful Logistics professional is expected to be: Deep logistics and supply chain experience. Deep knowledge in ERP systems, preferably SAP, implementation of logistics network solutions, and organizational structures and processes in combination with transport and warehouse management systems or EDI solutions to logistics service providers. Project management skills. Leadership (leading indirectly). Outstanding in idea generation, contributing to creating sustained competitive advantage. Strong at selling ideas to key stakeholders, internally and externally, translating these into effective proposals conveying value. Genuinely committed to Ecolab's sustainably led business model and connected with Ecolab's business agenda. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain (Warehousing & Transportation). Experience in logistics operations or consultancy. Language: Fluent English, other European languages are valuable. Experience: Minimum seven to ten years' experience in progressively responsible project manager roles, consultancy, or similar roles in warehousing & transportation logistics or supply chain management. Experience implementing Transport and/or Warehouse Management Systems. Good business acumen, proven project management skills combined with solid KPI monitoring and project governance (multiple projects simultaneously). Target driven and pragmatic: Experience of Lean processes and TPM/continuous improvement. Experience preferred in major regulations such as Seveso, GDP (Good Distribution Practice), Safety Measures in the context of storage and handling of liquid dangerous goods. International supply chain knowledge, especially around warehousing, inventory, and warehouse management. Knowledge of dangerous goods storage, handling, and transportation. Experience in sourcing and management of supply chain providers (3PLs). Experience with conducting RFIs and RFPs with service providers, plus able to do cost analysis for selection of optimum service level. Abilities: Must be able to influence senior management through well-formulated business presentations. Ability to develop short and long-range project planning and effectively communicate information to diverse work groups. Ability to solve critical issues in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines. Demonstrated skills in organization group process, problem identification, and resolution. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Other Skills: Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint Presentations, Power BI-tools), Network optimization tools (e.g., Llamasoft, etc.).
