In Alkeymia we are looking to hire a Logistics Manager for the Commercial Department of Alkeymia, who will it be a support function to the Decarbonization Commercial Manager, who will play a crucial role in handling outwards renewable fuel logistics to our final clients (off-takers). That includes our logistics activities from the production industrial plant to the final off-takers via train, truck, or ship (typically through an intermediate storage process), and in some cases, to be exported outside Spain via bunkering.That requires knowledge and experience in supply chain and operations management, strategic planning and analysis, and regulatory compliance.
TASKS Development of the different logistics models and alternatives, and preparation of the associated operational solutionsAssessment and recommendation of the most appropriate mode of transportation based on time, cost, permitting duration and GHG footprint.Benchmarking market analysis of the different European logistics operators (storage and transport) that would lead to potential cooperation agreements.Lead the discussions with the local and national administrations with regards to any permitting and regulatory issue that may ariseIdentity and negotiate rates with carriers for local and overseas shipments.Handle the sourcing of third-party contractors including operational contractsEnsure compliance with international trade laws and regulations by collaborating with all levels of the organizationArrange transportation and schedule deliveries to meet work requirementsManage performance of service providers through defining and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conducting performance dialogues, and addressing non-performance through escalation proceduresEnsure all activities are in compliance with the Company HSE policies and regulatory requirementsAdvice inside and outside the organization on export restrictions, local customs regulations, laws and procedures, tariff systems, insurance requirements, quotas, or other customs related matters.REQUIREMENTS Master degree within a Logistics or Supply ChainSolid track record in logistics is a must, preferably in a similar roleExperience within chemical industry, and particular transport of chemical substancesExport of shipping activitiesRegular contact with chemical companies and logistic operatorsMinimum 9-10 years of working experience in handling end-to-end logistic activities with at least 5 years preferably in handling chemicals.Fluency in English (other languages are a plus)Willingness to travel both national and internationalProvide strong leadership, problem solving and analytical skills.Tipo de Jornada:
