What you'll do:
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating our domestic inbound and outbound shipment function at every stage of the process within Spain. This will involve arranging LCL, FCL, Truckload and air shipments as well as managing transactions and tasks to reduce total transportation costs and meet government requirements. This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Manage shipment transactions, including all related activities for project with due consideration of company KPIs
Receive, review, process international shipments and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete
Ensure on-time delivery to project sites for domestic and last mile freight (LMF)
Work with forwarders, hauliers, carriers and other vendors to provide timely, accurate and competitive quotes
Organize and file customs commercial documentation
Consolidate freight where applicable and negotiate best transportation rates
Proactively communicate shipment status to Project Management, including shortages and schedule changes
Be available to assist Project Management in direct customer discussions / meetings
Maintain communication with suppliers and review processes for both inbound and outbound freight
Process logistics requests and ensure timely follow-up
Determine optimal solutions to issues of damaged, misdirected or lost freight
Work with Project Management and across Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) functions to continually improve shipping transactions
Work with forwarders and carriers to verify shipment status and resolve problems
Create and report out on carrier scorecard and key performance indicators (KPI's)
Oversee outbound delivery generation, bill of lading administration and proof of delivery
Manage varied modes of transportation
Generate documents needed to file freight claims
Perform other duties as assigned
The qualifications you must have:
High school diploma
5+ years of logistics and/or project management experience
3+ years experience working with Microsoft Office
3+ year working knowledge of ocean, air and truck transport
1+ year in ERP experience, preferable SAP Hana
Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving skills, organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing abilities
Ability to speak and write English and in local language
Ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions in a rapidly changing environment.

Associates degree or higher
Background in international shipping
Intermediate math skills
Excellent project management, negotiation and customer service skills
Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to work across multiple projects and organizations
