JOB TITLE & JOB CODE Job Title (Job Code): Logistics Coordinator Assistant – Tren Maya PURPOSE OF THE JOB You are in charge of the management of national logistics, focusing on the delivery of goods from our warehouse to the installation site.
Ensure that the components and materials arrive on time with no damages to the installation sites.
You will be in charge of all the logistic flows/teams: warehouse, logistic, and transport teams for your site, optimizing the processes in compliance with QCDE targets (Quality, cost, delay, and EHS).

Supply Chain / Logistic Reports directly to: Logistic Coordinator Other reporting to: Direct reports: Warehouse management, transport & customs coordinators Network & Links Internal Warehouse management Planning Manager/Material planning Sourcing industrialization, manufacturing External Supplier Transport & logistic partners Packaging subcontractors Main Responsibilities Design, develop and implement solutions to improve logistic flows meeting QCDE targets: Quality: apply solutions to protect parts during all logistic operations (transport, unloading, storage, line feeding, etc.)
Costs: save money & cash (calculate ROI, design standard packaging, reduce transport costs, etc.)
Delay: reduce work labor time in the warehouse (picking, kitting hours, etc.)
& in production EHS: improve ergonomics at workstation (internal kitting trolley) and reduce waste packaging (zero unpacking) Put in place actions to align physical flow and system flow and to improve stock accuracy Ensure that the supplier follows the supply chain specification Plan & Manage Packing, Shipping, and Outbound Transportation from your site to external suppliers and customers Plan & Manage Inbound Transportation from external suppliers when requested by purchasing incoterms Work in synergy with Alstom Custom Expert and custom operators to ensure custom compliance of import and export activities Check and assure compliance with all authority regulations (for example, carta porte) Assure equipment is delivered on time based on the project planning Provide visibility on delivery dates to the site material planners Monitor Logistic supplier commitments, deliveries, and follow logistic suppliers OTIF performance and other KPIs Manage transportation budget in synergy with project work package owners Ensure implementation of all standard processes & golden rules in compliance with the Logistic Handbook Operational activities Design packaging solutions (define flow, calculate batch size, optimize packaging & transport costs, analyze milk-run, calculate ROI and logistic loop) Define warehouse layouts, its internal flows, and storage policy (define C-class storage management, realize business case on VMI, create & implement mirror area, put in place visual management, Kanban flow, FIFO, FEFO, lean management, etc.)
Optimize the line feeding (design standard kitting trolley, warehouse & production line footprint and sequencing, etc.)
Participate in the different gates review of RFQ (Request For Quotation) by negotiating terms of supply chain specification and requesting forwarder's quotes Work closely with suppliers, industrialization, material planning, warehouse, sourcing, manufacturing teams Management Manage logistics/Transport Operators in the team and align team members' activities to the warehouse workload Provide a long-term vision to the team, set yearly objectives and targets, support and coach in achieving these targets and objectives Identify possible impacts on the deliveries of components on time and propose a strategy to mitigate these impacts Ensure optimization of transportation flow & cost Manage C-Class activity according to Alstom standard rules Manage Budget for his department Main Required Competences Educational Requirements Mandatory: College degree in logistics, industrial engineering, or similar Fluent in English Spanish (mother tongue or bilingual) Desirable: Lean Six Sigma Knowledge Experience Mandatory: Minimum 5 years in a similar position Experience and use of ERP SAP Experience in team management Knowledge of new requirement "Carta Porte" Excellent understanding of incoterms Desirable: Valuable experience in companies of the same sector/activity or related Competencies & Skills Mandatory: Good communication, leadership, and initiative skills Operational effectiveness/Accountability Collaboration/Teamwork Communication with Transparency Problem-solving skills Sense of urgency Logistics and ERP SAP knowledge Microsoft package Desirable: Innovation EHS knowledge An agile, inclusive, and responsible culture is the foundation of our company where diverse people are offered excellent opportunities to grow, learn and advance in their careers.
