The Warehouse / Logistics Assistant coordinates and executes the assigned warehouse and/or logistics activities and processes, ensuring operational management of logistical providers and/or internal employees (e.g., warehouse staff, drivers) in line with specifications, orders, and safety policies. This role supports the OpCo's production, warehousing, and distribution processes in realizing their objectives.
The Warehouse / Logistics Assistant is a support/execution role in Logistics/Supply chain, focusing on administrative support and execution of the warehousing function, logistics, (outbound) transport, or a combination of both areas. Depending on the size and structure of the logistics/warehousing function, the Warehouse / Logistics Assistant will report to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, Warehouse Manager, or Transport/Logistics Manager, which will also define the focus of the role. In larger operations, the role is likely to be more specialized, while smaller OpCo's may require the Warehouse / Logistics Assistant to be an all-rounder, potentially including driving a forklift when necessary.
