Job Summary – SITE SEARCH ENGINEER Years of experience needed: 5+ Years Technical Skills: Create a robust on-site search strategy for digital direct business.
Own on-site search regionally, contributing to company-wide knowledge by sharing best practices with stakeholders.
Ensure best relevancy for on-site searches.
Continuously increase the click-through rate and conversion rate for the keywords being searched on-site.
Optimize search bar results (pinning, boosts, synonyms, popular search keywords, redirects, etc.).
Optimize search result page (SRP) with facet optimization, product spotlights, category links, and promotion banners.
Plan and execute upsell and cross-sell campaigns on various real estates in the stores by leveraging tool capabilities.
Collaborate with the e-commerce merchandising team on a roadmap and execute optimization activities.
Perform keyword searches in coordination with business objectives to optimize existing on-site search experience and define new opportunities.
Address pain points for search keywords and improve relevancy and results accordingly.
Quality control to ensure the best relevancy and end-to-end experience (audit and analyze).
Provide feedback to the merchandising team on the performance of keywords and recommend plans to improve the click-through rate of low-performing keywords.
Minimize search result pages with 0 results to avoid exits from online stores.
Communicate performance and initiative status to stakeholders in monthly business reviews.
Stay on top of trends related to search and on-site search optimization and leverage applicable practices to fuel growth in the online store ecosystem.
Leverage tools to personalize on-site search experiences based on user behavior and browsing history.
Data analytics, campaign management knowledge, and data obsession.
SQL knowledge, web analytics (HTML).
No interaction with SEO Team; only interaction with Merchandising and Advertising teams for NPI and campaigns.
Analyze Google Analytics data and derive insights.
