We are currently seeking a data platform architect for our European team. The Data Architect will seamlessly mesh tech know-how with business acumen to help navigate all cloud computing needs, including infrastructure/network design, maintenance, support, and planning.
You will collaborate with Global teams based in the US and the European teams.
Your day-to-day with us: Define strategy of the Azure data lake and key components required.Actively manage Azure costs and help distribute to different European initiatives according to usage.Provide guidance to new projects on architecture definition.Define policies in the data lake to segregate access and implement different security protocols depending on the sensitivity of the data.Work alongside the Global Platform team to provision required infrastructure for Europe projects.Help resolve technical issues around connectivity.Develop best practices around Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD). Qualifications What do you need to succeed?
At least 2-3 years as an Azure administrator. Previous experience as an on-prem/cloud administrator is valued.
Good understanding of Azure core analytics platforms such as DataBricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Azure Data Lake.
Exposure to deployment tools such as Terraform/Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, and the GIT software code versioning system. Valuable experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) using Azure DevOps or similar.
Exposure to programming languages such as Python or R and data science platforms like JupyterHub or RStudio.
Ability to drive change using influence and networking across the organization.
Capacity to build a shared vision and communicate well.
