Main accountabilitiesBusiness Development- To work with Business Development team to respond to the tender process, leading the development of the operational solution and costs.- To present solutions to prospective customers, inspiring confidence in DHL's quality and experience- To review / sign off the resource requirements and budgets- With HR, ensure the BAU operational structure is designed in line with LEAN principles- To co-author the BCA and sponsor its internal approvalImplementations- Ensure operational project teams effectively resourced and all functions are represented as approporiate- Lead operations teams within the project to deliver succesfuly.- Provide direction to the Project Manager to ensure all work streams are delivering the plan to time / budget- Oversee the creation of a business continuity plan for the implementation- Ensure the implementation team and BAU operational structure are resourced and the necessary training and inductions are undertaken. Support selection and resourcing of teams.- Keep all relevant stakeholders, including the customer, up to date with implementation progressTransition or Change- Manage & ready operation for handover to BAU or exit to alternate provider- Ensure that operational service levels are being met / exceeded through the achievement of contractual Key Performance Indicators. Manage customer relationships including commercials & KPI.- Provide leadership to the team in line with DHL 3 bottom lines and our values. Always focusing on delivery of agreed business strategy with OD and VP.Internal Processes- Through the management team, ensure compliance with statutory and company policies on Health & Safety, Employment and Environmental issues- To ensure all sites have relevant & up to date business continuity plans.- Provide clear leadership as a chamonstrate passion in employee engagement. Focus on change, transition, TUPE and using the ACT model.- Accountable for the delivery of a successful start up, KPI's, startup plans, investment returns.- Budget responsibility for the start up and up until transition to BAU- Through the management team, ensure that employee resources for customer accounts are appropriate for business needs, including tackling performance issues, identification of training needs, reviewing productivity and local recruitment.Significant growth pipeline to supportRequirements for the job- Experience of leading implementations of new business- Accustomed to working with project management and cross functions- Previous P&L accountability and full working knowledge of supply chain products and services- General working knowledge of all functional aspects - finance, IT, HR, project management etc- Working knowledge of legal, contracting and commercials. Experience of customer facing and negotiation within an operatinal situation- Europe exposure / experience beneficial- Demonstrable supply chain and account management experience- DePict or equivalent
