English family based in Benahavis/Malaga is looking for a live-in housekeeper.
Should be proactive, discreet, trustworthy, and well-mannered with a professional attitude.
To oversee the property and ensure it is maintained and run like a 5* hotel.
The housekeeper should be hands-on with a can-do attitude.
The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To keep the house clean and organised according to the principal's protocol.
Keeping the terraces and outdoor furniture clean and organised at all times.
To be able to set a beautiful table when requested.
Cooking meals for the kids.
To ensure the fridges are well stocked with water.
General cleaning of the property and deep cleaning when necessary.
Cleaning activities such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing, sanitising toilets, showers/bathtubs, rubbish management.
To ensure that all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
Laundry and ironing, folding and organising everything nicely and evenly in the cupboards and wardrobes.
To check stock levels of all household consumables and replace when appropriate.
Managing suppliers, deliveries, and liaising with contractors, pool maintenance, gardeners, builders, etc.
Monitoring all equipment and household items ensuring you notify the principal on any damages, deficits, and disturbances.
Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
Dealing with any housekeeping-related request from the family.
Candidate Requirements:
Fluent in English and Spanish is a must.
Must drive and have a car; the location is only accessible by private transport.
Should have flexibility to work extra hours when the family has guests, usually during the summer.
Must have proven and visible experience working long-term for VIP private families as a housekeeper.
Must have excellent checkable references.
Must have the noticeable ability to work with little supervision while maintaining a high level of performance; however, should be happy to follow the principal's instructions and work under their supervision.
Should be customer-oriented, friendly but professional.
Working quickly without compromising quality.
There are other staff working in the house; the candidate should be able to work well with others.
1 and 1/2 days off per week:Full day off on MondaysHalf a day off on Sundays.
Salary: up to €2000 over 12 months if the candidate speaks fluent English and matches the family requirements.
