Linux Kernel Engineer

We are looking for a candidate to join a team whose goal is developing a high-performance and energy-efficient software targeting a novel HW-platform based on RISC-V cores.
You will participate in codesigning, bringing up and supporting Linux Operating System on the developed hardware architecture.
ResponsibilitiesBring up and support Linux on the company developed SoCsWork closely & codesign with the hardware design team in the companyDevelop production-quality code with efficient collaboration with open-source software stacksInteract with the HPC/AI-accelerator to debug functionality and performanceBenchmarking, performance modelling and analysisMinimum QualificationsKnowledge in systems programming, C and asmGood understanding of Linux Kernel internals, and early boot architectureKnowledge about compilation and image management processes (toolchains, object file formats, binutils, BuildRoot)Solid Background on Computer Architecture and hardware-software interactions (caches, MMU, privilege levels…)Experience with Emulators and Simulators (QEMU, spike)Proficient in software engineering principles, (testing methodologies, modularity, best practices)Fluent in debugging & profilingMS in Computer Science or a related technical fieldBusiness fluent EnglishDesired Qualifications3+ years of experience as a Linux Kernel engineerExperience in Upstreaming and Open source collaborationSpecific Experience in RISC-V Kernel (DeviceTree, openSBI, Interrupt controllers)Knowledge of modern C++Basic understanding of LLVM compiler infrastructureExperience in Python or other scripting languages
