Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Child Protection Team - Tallahassee

Job Description: Provides direct therapy and counseling services to child victims, siblings ofvictims, and non-offending caregivers.Provides crisis intervention to families.Coordinates intakes, evaluations, & interviews with children, family members toobtain psychosocial information for clinical evaluations.Develops and maintainsrelationships with staff and other agencies to provide coordination with neededservices and support through advocacy, referral, and follow-up.Developsbehaviorally specific treatment plans for all family members involved in theprogram.Completes safety planning to prevent continued or future abuse.Provides program administration, budgeting, monthly and quarterly grantreporting.Attends case staffing's and coordinates client services and community referrals.Maintains client records, including documentation and tracking of treatment goalsand objectives consistent with program requirements.Conducts training for thecommunity as assigned.Supervise, review and approve therapy plans and recruit community-based toserve our children and families in outlying areas.Provides depositions and court testimony as required.Expected Salary: $, to $, annually depending on education and experience.Minimum Requirements: Master's or Doctoral degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling, or related field.All State of Florida requirements met for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LSCW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), with two years post-degree supervised experience.Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Trauma focused care and planning.Use of standardized assessment tools in determining a client's current presentingproblem(s) One year of clinical counseling experience, six months of which must be in providingtreatment to sexually abused children and their families
