Provides legal advice and defense to the different companies mainly in the corporate and contractual area, in accordance with current legislation, APMT policies and the guidelines from the Legal Counsel in order to safeguard and protect APMT legal interests and minimize legal risks.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Informs and advises all Megaterminal companies about novelties in legal matters that may have an impact on regular business operations of the company.
Coordinates and controls, in accordance with the guidelines from the Legal Counsel, the work outsourced to the national and international network of lawyers, consultants, and external specialists to guarantee they carry out their tasks in an optimal manner.
Review of extension initial terms of concession contracts for all the terminals of megaterminal. Coordination, processing, and tracking. Also, concessional agreements modifications and negotiations for Barcelona, Valencia, Castellón, and Gijón.
Defends and represents APMT in legal matters, taking the necessary actions and attending to a hearing if required in order to protect and exercise the company's rights against third parties.
Supports HSSE in serious and fatal accidents at work in all terminals, managing and achieving agreements with external lawyers in such cases.
Leads the court processes directly or in coordination with external lawyers.
Supervises insurance policies contained in the agreements with contractors and subcontractors.
CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Technical Profile Law degree
