The Role:
We are hiring a Legal Operations Manager to continue the build-out of our legal operations ecosystem.
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, Legal & Trust, you will be part of a small team with responsibility for designing and delivering processes, practices and tools aimed at improving departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
In this role you will use your background and prior experience in delivering legal operations projects.
The work you'll do:
Manage and support strategic and operational initiatives across the legal organisation
Support the development, implementation and ongoing management of processes, practices and tools in support of the Legal function
Actively identify where process improvement activities can be deployed for wider business benefits
Collaborate across the Legal team, as well as with cross-functional teams within the Legal and Trust org including IT, Information Security and Sustainability
Support the Chief of Staff, Legal & Trust with reporting on metrics and case studies
Support outside counsel and supplier management processes
Execute operational tasks in support of the Legal function, including organisation and management of Legal department records
Put processes and systems in place to track legal spend, accruals, and budgets in order to identify cost saving opportunities
Assist with the analysis, tracking and reporting of team KPIs
Support development of a technology and enablement roadmap that includes solutions such as e-Billing and matter management, contract management, IP management, electronic signature, legal hold, and more
The qualifications you need:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Previous experience working within a lean Legal Operations function
Close attention to detail, well-organised and adept at working in a fast-paced, high volume environment
High energy, strong communication skills and a positive attitude are critical
Confidence in working and troubleshooting with minimal oversight
High level of emotional intelligence, cultural awareness and uncompromising ethical standards
Ability to effectively prioritise, escalate appropriately and multi-task
Experience of working with Legal Operations tools - Prior exposure to DocuSign CLM and Brightflag an advantage
Developed business acumen, with ability to understand the company's mission and anticipate changing requirements in a rapidly scaling company
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; business fluency in English required
