Where this position fits-into the team: Part of the Unilever Legal Powerhouse – a team we're currently building, which consists of colleagues in Bangalore, Mexico City and Barcelona.Integral part of the Unilever's Legal Function - a global operation consisting of approximately 600 lawyers and specialistsBased alongside the Unilever team in Barcelona.Role purpose The role will report to the Head of Legal Strategy & Operations who is a member of the Legal Leadership Team.
This is a strategic role involving direct interactions with the Chief Legal Officer and the legal Leadership Team as well as other senior members of the legal organisation.
The person will be in charge of developing, monitoring and overseeing the legal organisation's technology and AI strategy and roadmap and well as overseeing the optimal implementation of the carefully selected tools.
The person will also lead change management and drive adoption of the legal technology and AI tools.
The person is also expected to identify opportunities for optimising the use of legal technology and Artificial Intelligence.
Job Responsibilities: Developing, monitoring and overseeing the legal organisation's technology & AI strategy and roadmapOversee the optimal implementation of the carefully selected technology and AI toolsLead change management and training to ensure wide adoption of legal techContinuously monitor development of legal tech and AI toolsEnsure continuous optimisation of the tools used by the legal teamIdentify areas for improvement and innovation and develop plans to achieve improvementAlign the legal tech and AI strategy with broader legal and business objectivesEnsure that legal tech & AI budget is respectedProduct Owner for Legal Tech solutionsPartnering with UniOps IT Platform and Enterprise Architecture teams to facilitate the delivery of legal servicesCollaborate with Finance on the Legal Spend processes and technology to ensure cost reduction and efficiency. Act as a primary point of contact between the legal department and other departments involved in technology and AI initiativesEstablish metrics to measure the success and ROI of legal technologyLine Management Act as a Line manager for a small team.
