The Legal Operations Assistant reports to the Chief Operating Officer and works closely with the Head of Expansion, fulfilling his duties in his absence. You should also be well-versed in internal operations, take minutes at meetings, forward and distribute mail as required, and prepare and file relevant documents.To be successful as a Legal Operations Assistant, you should possess excellent communication skills and be able to juggle multiple tasks. Top candidates will have strong organizational, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.Responsibilities:Managing legal documents: the Legal Operations Assistant is responsible for managing and organizing legal documents and files, ensuring they are properly filed and accessible.Scheduling meetings: arranges meetings and conferences, both in-person and virtual, with clients, attorneys, and other legal professionals.Billing and invoicing: assists in preparing billing and invoicing statements, tracking expenses and payments, and ensuring that billing guidelines are followed.Coordinating with external partners: coordinates with external partners such as outside counsel, vendors, and government agencies.Conducting legal research: conducts legal research to support attorneys and legal teams in preparing for cases.Drafting legal documents: assists in drafting legal documents such as investment agreements, MoU, contracts, and other diverse sets of agreements.Maintaining legal databases: maintains legal databases and ensures they are up-to-date and accurate.Providing administrative support: provides administrative support to legal teams, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and taking minutes of meetings
