Legal Counsel (Temporary 6 months) Zurich | up to 60% Home Office | Reference 6605
The Legal & Regulatory team is responsible for legal and regulatory matters related to the operations, services and business of SIX. We closely collaborate with business on day-to-day related matters, create and update contractual templates, negotiate with clients and partners, contribute legal advice in respect of M&A and other transactions, deal with HR and Intellectual Property related topics, manage litigations of the group and act as point of contact for supervisory authorities. This wide range of legal topics requires members to be open-minded, flexible and willing to accept the challenge of regularly leaving one's own comfort zone. Co-operation with other team members in Switzerland, Spain, France and the UK is key for us.
We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join this team as Legal Counsel with main focus on Governance, Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Secretariat. In this role, you will play an active role in supporting a governance review project, further enhancing our relationship with supervisory authorities, supporting corporate secretariat activities of regulated and unregulated legal entities and designing and implementing group wide standards and processes.
What You Will Do Play a central and active role in a governance review project of legal entities and delegated authorities
Establish corporate governance overviews, standards and processes
Prepare various corporate and regulatory calendars
Design standardized templates for corporate governance documents, reports, and filings, enabling consistency and accuracy across the group.
Work closely with colleagues of the Legal & Regulatory function located primarily in Switzerland and Spain
What You Bring Master of laws from a university
At least 4 years of relevant experience in corporate governance
Fluency in English (fluency in Spanish and German are a plus)
Ownership, reliability and strong listening and collaboration skills
Eye for details, pragmatism and enthusiasm
