The legal team at Fever is a true business partner to all Fever teams, supporting sustainable growth across functions and geographies (including more than 200 cities across the globe!).
As Legal Counsel supporting the India and APAC region , you will be based in Madrid.
This role will require proactivity, autonomy, and drive.
You will be involved in day-to-day legal support to Fever's operations in India, and provide support to the broader APAC region.
You will provide generalist legal advice across all in-house legal functions, draft and help commercial teams negotiate commercial agreements with suppliers and clients, and provide valuable input to inform company strategy in the region, all within a fast-paced company undergoing an ambitious regional expansion.
ABOUT THE ROLE You will leverage your legal background for projects that you will own from time to time, and be required to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members within and outside of the department.
You will be expected to work in the following areas, managing legal functions in India (providing similar support in APAC and other jurisdictions around the world): Advising on general legal matters and legislation impacting India business operations, as well as developing expertise on APAC markets more broadly, focusing on product fit and compliance.
Drafting/revising key commercial contracts, terms and conditions, and other legal documents.
Providing support to business teams and upper management in their development of local business strategy and negotiations of deals and contracts you are involved in.
Using your experience in Indian and APAC legal matters to work closely with our dispute resolution team to assist with negotiations, litigation, and tailored strategies that lead to practical, win-win results.
Engaging, coordinating and prioritizing work of external legal advisors.
Preparing/revising internal templates, guides, and similar knowledge management key documents.
Participating in ongoing compliance functions as required.
Participating in the upskilling, support and growth of other team members.
ABOUT YOU In order to be successful in this role, you will: Be a barred/practising lawyer, with 4+ years of PQE in the legal field (corporate or law firm).
Have qualified as a lawyer in an Indian jurisdiction, or 2+ PQE working in India .
Speak fluent English and legal English, with fluency in additional languages desirable.
Have an excellent academic record and/or experience in top-notch companies or top-tier law-firms.
Have a keen eye for strategy and business, and be committed to company goals.
Possess strong technical skills.
Be an effective communicator who brings emotional intelligence to work.
This role is located in Fever's HQ in Madrid, and although we can be flexible with the timing you will be expected to move there if you are currently living elsewhere.
