Key Relationships: Business Management, Beazley Digital, Specialty Risks Underwriters, Compliance, Innovation and Product Development and all other relevant stakeholders
Job Summary: Provide underwriting and wordings support to assigned Beazley Digital and Specialty Risks teams or focus groups and general support across Beazley Digital, Specialty Risks and other Beazley trading teams as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary focus is on drafting policy wordings and endorsements to support business/underwriting objectives of the assigned Beazley Digital and Specialty Risks teams/focus groups.
Primary focus is to support the European Underwriters across Multi-Lines including Management Liability, Professional Liability and Cyber both large risk and mass risk.
Line manage direct reports.
Assist with regulatory projects where there is wordings impact.
Assist the focus groups in addressing coverage issues raised in the underwriting and negotiation process to assist in successful closing of business opportunities.
Assist the focus groups in achieving sales and service goals by providing high quality and timely response to queries raised.
Providing support and advice on underwriting, product development, and coverage issues.
If qualified, review confidentiality agreements, warranty statements and other agreements as needed for US/UK/RoW Beazley Digital and Specialty Risks Underwriters in order to engage in the underwriting process.
Assist Beazley Digital and Specialty Risks underwriters in addressing bespoke coverage requests; requires interaction with Brokers, Insureds, other key external stakeholders (e.g. external counsel).
Support the trading team to facilitate an organised knowledge management and sharing process.
Coordinate projects and work collaboratively with other key stakeholders internally, including but not limited to Compliance, Claims, Conduct Risk, UW Controls and Operations, Beazley Digital, Specialty Risks, Marketing and IT.
Monitor competitive landscapes for the continuous improvement of wordings and underwriting controls.
Participate in Team/Focus Group business planning, away days, broker/client meetings and other marketing events, as required and appropriate.
Provide assistance with additional projects and/or legal services (if qualified) for Business Management, Beazley Digital, Specialty Risks or other Beazley teams, as needed.
Monitor claims developments and impact of wording on claims.

Education & Qualifications:
Law Degree preferred.
European Legal qualification preferred.
Skills & Abilities:

Computer skills – good working knowledge of MS Office.

Multilingual with fluency in English and French and/or German and/or Spanish preferred.

Relevant professional level experience required.
