We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented lawyer to support the International Legal team, specifically with data protection and regulatory compliance across different jurisdictions. The successful candidate will assist in providing legal support across various business functions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and mitigating risks for the organization.
Role and Responsibilities: Support the International legal team based in Barcelona in addressing privacy-related matters, such as reviewing and negotiating data protection agreements, responding to client privacy questionnaires, managing data subject access requests and ensuring overall GDPR compliance for different products and services and across different jurisdictionsLiaise with external Data Protection Officers across different jurisdictions as neededSupport the implementation and monitoring of compliance programs and policiesAssist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial contractsConduct legal research to provide accurate and timely advice to internal stakeholders Skill Requirements/Preferences: Over 4 years experience as a lawyer with strong data protection exposure (GDPR compliance)Experience in negotiating commercial contractsExperience in Life Sciences or IT sector is desirable but not mandatorySkilled in English & SpanishOther: Admitted to practice in any EU jurisdiction, based in Barcelona.
