Responsibilities include providing legal support to projects and operations in Spain and Portugal and representing BASF with external stakeholders if required.In this role, you will be a competent and trusted partner for business and management at all levels, involving relevant counterparts at headquarters to contribute to virtual legal teams for the respective operating divisions (ODs) and service units.Your responsibilities will be:In-house legal advice to management and ODs on all legal issues, elaborate opinions and queries about contracts, including commercial, corporate, antitrust, compliance and governance matters.Professional legal advice, including negotiations and contract drafting with special focus on commercial agreements.Assessment of business cases from a variety of legal viewpoints. Research and analyze relevant laws, regulations and judicial precedents to ensure that the company complies with applicable legal standards.Legal counterpart in M&A transactions, joint ventures and restructurings to multiple commercial units and functional departments.Giving trainings to staff on national and international contract law, compliance and antitrust law.Compliance case handling. Participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of internal compliance controls.
