Introduction The Learning Expert will play a pivotal role in developing and refining our language learning curricula, content and strategies that make up the italki learning framework. This position requires a blend of instructional design expertise, curriculum development experience, learning strategy development and proficiency in integrating AI-driven educational tools. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging, adaptive, and culturally sensitive learning experiences. Responsibilities: Curriculum Development: Design and develop comprehensive and engaging language learning curricula tailored to various proficiency levels and learning objectives. Content Creation: Create high-quality educational materials, including lesson plans, exercises, quizzes, and supplementary resources, aligned with our pedagogical standards and diverse learner needs. Teacher Support: Provide ongoing support and training for italki teachers to help them effectively implement and adapt our curriculum. Organize professional development workshops and create instructional guides. Quality Assurance: Evaluate and continuously improve existing curriculum and content based on feedback from teachers, students, and performance metrics. Research and Trends: Stay abreast of the latest developments and trends in language education, incorporating innovative teaching methods and technologies into the curriculum. Collaborative Projects: Work closely with the product team to integrate educational content into the italki platform, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly learning experience. Customization: Tailor learning programs to meet the diverse linguistic and cultural needs of a global user base. Community Engagement: Foster an active and supportive educational community by engaging with students and teachers through forums, webinars, and other interactive platforms. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, TESOL, or a related field. A Master's degree or higher is preferred. Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in curriculum development or instructional design, preferably in the field of language education. Skills: Strong knowledge of language education methodologies, instructional design principles, and adult learning theories. Proficiency in multiple languages is a significant advantage. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with online learning platforms, educational technologies, and content management systems. It will be an added benefit if this person is proficient with AI prompting and prompt designs. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise, and engaging manner. Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a remote, multicultural team environment.
