The WebPros Learning & Development team serves both internal and external customers by providing comprehensive training and certification programs. Internally, we focus on onboarding new hires and enhancing the skills of our existing employees to ensure they are well-equipped to support our products and services. Externally, we operate the cPanel and Plesk public universities, offering certification pathways that empower users to master our platforms as well as their careers in the web hosting industry, ensuring they can leverage the full potential of our products in their environments.
Position Overview
Are you passionate about graphic design or video editing and eager to apply those skills professionally? We are looking for a creative Training Content Developer to join our Learning & Development team. This role is perfect for someone with a knack for creating compelling visuals and multimedia—whether from school projects, personal hobbies, or freelance work—and who is ready to take the next step into instructional design.
As a Training Content Developer, you will transform instructional designs into engaging learning materials and multimedia assets that inspire and educate learners across different formats (e-learning modules, videos, infographics, job aids, etc.). No prior professional experience is required; if you have the skills and the passion, we'll help you grow into the instructional design aspect of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Development: Translate instructional designs into interactive, engaging, and instructionally sound learning materials for various formats (e-learning modules, instructor-led training, job aids, infographics, assessments, etc.).
Multimedia Design: Develop multimedia assets including images, animations, videos, infographics, newsletters, brochures, and interactive simulations, to support diverse learning modalities.
Course Authoring: Utilize e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Rise, Adobe Captivate, or similar to create SCORM-compliant modules (we'll teach you if you're not already familiar!).
Collaboration: Work closely with Instructional Designers, SMEs, and other stakeholders to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with learning objectives.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct testing to ensure functionality, usability, and user experience, addressing any bugs or issues in the content.
Content Management: Maintain and update learning materials, ensuring they remain current, accurate, and aligned with organizational needs and standards.
Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in learning technologies and methodologies to continuously improve content development processes.
Qualifications:
Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar).
Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, iMovie, or similar).
A portfolio of creative work (projects from school, personal, or freelance work welcome!).
Enthusiasm for learning new tools and techniques related to instructional design.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience in the Web Hosting industry - Technical Support, Development, Sales, or Other
Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools like Articulate Rise or Adobe Captivate.
Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, or other web development languages.
Experience with Learning Management Systems and SCORM standard
