Against the backdrop of decades of rising demand, mental health has never been more important. The Covid pandemic has led to a 4x increase in mental disorders around the world. With no increase in the supply of clinicians, tens of millions of people are stranded today without access to care. There has never been a more critical moment for the work that we're leading at Koa Health. And this is where you come in.
Your New RoleWe have a fantastic opportunity available for a Learning & Development and Engagement Lead to join our team for a 12 months, fixed term contract (with the possibility of joining on a permanent basis). As our very first dedicated L&D professional, you will work in collaboration with our Director of People & Culture, SVP of Organisations & Operations, and the People Team based in the UK and Spain.
You will take ownership of designing and delivering an inspiring learning and development strategy for Koa Health, which will include:
Evaluation of the development needs of a global, multidisciplinary communityCo-creation of a career development structureDefining roles and responsibilities, alongside associated behaviours across all functions of the businessIntegrating company values into performance management and developmentEngaging with partners to deliver learning and training opportunities at all levels of the businessFocused consideration of development in the areas of functional expertise, leadership, inclusive culture (e.g., wellbeing, DEI, sustainability)Form an annual performance management cycleCommunicate regularly on progress and initiatives to the community across different geographiesIdentify the needs and cultural temperature of our community to help with employee engagement, retention and employee experience, including:
Facilitation of monthly/quarterly employee engagement surveysReview of internal business data and external sources of informationReview and synthesis of findings to report to Exec team and to the broader communityCollaborate with Director of People & Culture to make appropriate recommendations delivered through the people strategy and/or community initiativesAbout YouAbility to deliver day to day, but with a strategic mindsetEvidence of end to end creation and implementation of learning and development strategy tied to overall business objectivesStrong communication skills - experience of regular team and company wide communications providing direction and storytelling on learning & development. Addressing employee needs, creating great experiences and championing growth for the communityEmployee centric - you possess the ability to get under the skin of our culture to understand what is most valuable to the community at every level. Experience with various approaches to determining this. Attaining and reviewing cultural data to understand the why as well as the whatEmbracing a start-up culture mentality - some of the ingredients are in place, but we would like you to bring your experience to complete the recipe. Aspirationally we would like a clearly defined inspirational learning & development program in the context of a 120 person highly skilled, creative and dynamic team, that is already up and running.
