The Tweed Regional Aquatic Centres (TRAC) offer the community everything families need to maintain a healthy lifestyle, with facilities, equipment, and staff that provide an extensive range of healthy lifestyle choices. We are seeking someone who is outgoing and energetic and has a passion for swimming and water safety. You will be reliable, have great communication skills, a happy disposition, and be able to build a great rapport with our staff, parents, and swimmers.
This is a permanent part-time position with a minimum of 4 hours per week up to 38 hours, based on a 7-day roster with your total hours of work determined by the weekly roster. Ordinary hours of work for this position fall between 5am to 11pm, with hours worked outside of this on Mondays to Fridays attracting a 20% shift loading. Ordinary hours worked on a Saturday attract a 25% loading, whilst Sunday attracts a 50% loading.
About the roleOur Learn to Swim Program Officer is responsible for coordinating the learn to swim and schools swimming program including:
Teaching and covering shifts as requiredTraining staff to deliver the learn to swim programs for toddlers, preschool, primary school, and junior levelsAssisting in the development and review of practices and policies to ensure the successful operation of the learn to swim programsAdministrative functions including placing children in classes, programming classes, and communicating information on classes to parentsContinuously seeking opportunities to grow and improve the learn to swim program What's on offer- An attractive base salary ranging from $28.11 per hour with competency-based increments up to $29.53 per hour, plus 10.5% super
