.Operations Launch LeaderLocation: UK, Spain or Mexico (Remote)Summary:Support the transition and launch of new TPI wind blade manufacturing lines globally. The engineer will be a key member of the global launch team providing real-time production and engineering support during the launch phase. This work will include the creation of manufacturing processes, work instructions, quality documentation, jigs, fixtures, and other necessary items needed to produce blades. Team member must integrate into the launch team and train relevant teams on process, inspections, and troubleshoot any issues that arise.Duties & Responsibilities:Lead the technical launch of new blade manufacturing and repair processes, ensuring smooth transition from development to full-scale production.Develop and implement strategic manufacturing setup plans to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.Implement an efficient board management system to streamline communication and decision-making processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to coordinate launch activities and resolve technical issues.Develop comprehensive repair plans for damaged or faulty blades, incorporating best practices and innovative solutions to minimize downtime and maximize performance.Oversee the training of production personnel on new manufacturing and repair processes, ensuring proficiency and adherence to quality standards.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing and repair processes, identifying areas for optimization and implementing corrective actions as needed.Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions to production schedules.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational excellence.Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and external stakeholders as needed.Skills & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.Proven experience in blade manufacturing and repair processes within the wind energy industry.Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of composite materials, manufacturing technologies, and quality management systems.Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically to overcome challenges and drive process improvements.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
