We are looking for a talented Lead NodeJS Engineer to work closely with our product owners to help shape and build the future of our Frontend ecosystem for a global online sports betting operator.
You will need strong backend & frontend skills, experience on Next.js and React, but most importantly leadership and people skills.
As a mindset, we need strong problem solvers who love to learn — we're not experts in everything and we don't expect you to be either.
You know good systems' design when you see it and you know when and how to improve it.

What you'll be getting up to: Working with key business stakeholders to understand the problems that need to be addressed.
Designing and implementing new features and solutions.
Leading a cross-functional and remote team.
Performing analysis of current programs including performance diagnosis and troubleshooting of issues.
Providing assistance and mentoring to the team members.
Refining system requirements and breaking them down into workable tasks.
Prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Applying effective and clear communication with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
Writing and improving the documentation for the company products and tools.
Maintaining our products and assisting in troubleshooting production incidents.
Helping customer support answer customer questions.
The role requires being available for on-call support as required.
Here are a few recent and inflight projects/initiatives of the team: Overhauling our product for improved UX.
Integration with the organization's next-generation payments backend systems.
Integrating new payment methods and payment providers and speeding up said integrations with automation/configuration improvements.
Providing self-help tools to the players for them to complete their transactions and unblock stuck transactions.
Providing the tools to Customer Support to process quickly and efficiently follow-ups by players as to their transactions.
Requirements: List of skills we think you need: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any related technical field.
Great English skills verbal & written.
Leadership and people skills.
Team spirit & team player.
Problem-solving attitude.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Project management skills and Agile Scrum experience.
Good command of the following technologies: NodeJS, Typescript, JavaScript, React, Git, Linux, REST, Docker usage, OOP.
Nice to have: Redis, CI/CD, Varnish.
