As an addition to the organization, we are looking for a Lead Software Engineer & Software Engineer to develop software for the production and technical support of mechatronic control systems for agricultural machinery, from the design phase to integration tests. Based in Valencia, Spain, you will directly report to the Team Lead of the R&D department in the Netherlands.The R&D department falls under our Kverneland Group Mechatronics entity which develops and produces advanced operating systems for agricultural machines. Our terminals, electronic control units, and licenses ensure that agricultural machines/implements are easy to connect, operate and monitor. When Smart/Precision farming is applied, it reduces the need for raw materials, simplifies work, less costs, and enables higher yields. This is better for the environment and farmers and contractors ultimately get a higher profit in return.Responsibilities:Monitor the daily progress of the customer projects.Deliver projects on time with the proper quality and functionality.Advise the Project Manager and/or the Manager R&D on cost aspects of the activities.Coordinate/guide/lead other software engineers.Activities:Ownership of the software (development) of a particular product.Act as the point of contact for the product software implementation.Define the requirements and the software design of the product.Support system engineers with defining the correct requirements for the product.Translate the system and software requirements into work packages.Define, delegate and verify work packages and Jira tickets to/from SW developers.Work together with other software engineers on common code base and technical challenges that will move the department forward.Requirements:Bachelors or Master degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science/Engineering or Electronics Engineering or similar
