The Big Picture We are a dynamic travel tech company building an innovative platform using cutting-edge technologies. Our stack includes Node.js, React, Strapi CMS, and various modern tools and integrations. We're looking for a talented and experienced Lead Full Stack Engineer to join our team and help drive our technical vision forward.

As our Lead Full Stack Engineer, you will be the first engineering hire and an individual contributor responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining our travel app platform. You'll work closely with our CEO and UI/X team to ensure the technical implementation aligns with business goals and user needs. Your key responsibilities in fulfilling the big picture include:

Lead the development and maintenance of our Node.js backend and React-based admin client Architect and implement scalable solutions using Strapi Headless CMS Manage and optimize our PostgreSQL database Integrate and maintain third-party services such as Auth0, Sendgrid, and Stripe Develop and maintain custom plugins to extend Strapi's functionality Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions Ensure best practices in security, performance, and code quality Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications Mentor and guide future team members as we grow our engineering organization Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in full stack development Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, and React Experience with Strapi CMS or similar headless CMS platforms Familiarity with GraphQL and RESTful API design and implementation Knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Railway and Vercel Understanding of authentication and authorization systems (Auth0 experience is a major plus) Familiarity with payment gateway integrations, particularly Stripe Experience with Docker and containerization Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and tools Excited to work with tools like Supabase to help us scale to millions of trips per year (Preferred) Experience with internationalization (i18n) in web applications (Preferred) Knowledge of SEO best practices for web applications (Preferred) Familiarity with email service providers like Sendgrid (or similar like Loops) (Preferred) Experience with media management solutions like Cloudinary (or similar) (Preferred) Understanding of RSS feed generation and management (Preferred) Experience with Swagger for API documentation At the end of the day, you will have a killer opportunity to help shape the technical direction of a growing travel tech startup. You will be able to work with cutting-edge technologies and modern development practices. As we are bringing development in-house (we worked with an agency in Brazil to get off the ground), you will be able to set the tone for a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Our leadership team is based in Texas and Florida. If you are not located in the UTC-6 or UTC-5, then you will be expected to shift at least 3 hours of your workday so that it overlaps our standard 9a-5p. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19,000,000.00 - $39,000,000.00 per year
