Principal Activities:
Lead the service design and implementation for Europe
Lead the ongoing partner selection process, and establish appropriate SLAs
Responsible for contract 'operations' and contract monitoring
Refine the KPIs for customer service and partner service provision
Ensure correct education materials for partners incl. trained technicians to BW products etc.
Develop the partner certification process
Ensure compliance, liability and insurance is appropriate for service
Lead a small team
Ensure the optimum L1,2,3 support in Europe
Work closely with global SW lead to provide predictive maintenance ('charger doctor')
Establish a maintenance plan for New Generation of products
BorgWarner Charging has three manufacturing facilities: Xiangyang China, Lugo Italy and Dearborn USA, complemented by product engineering teams in Shanghai China, Imola Italy and San Diego USA. Each manufacturing plant has end-of-line testing and rigorous KPIs regarding product quality. This position is focused on Europe; however, collaboration and possible projects with US/China are important.
This position reports to the Global Service Director & Chief Quality Officer, EV Charging. Service is an important part of the global Charging Organization. Current product focus is DC High Power Chargers, but the portfolio also contains Power Electronic Inverters, Industrial chargers, Smart grid products, and EPC projects for PV, DC grid, and EV chargers.
Representation to our customers in a highly professional and ethical manner promoting leadership in service technology.
Given the role is virtual, regular European and international travel is expected.
Develops (with input from Service Director) and deploys comprehensive service strategies that improve the profitability and growth of the European market.
Articulates a clear understanding of our market share, competitive position, and profitability.
Education & Experience:
3-5 years+ of EV Charging industry experience, specializing in EV charging Operations
Good knowledge of DC charging product and related Service issues
First experience of leading international teams (various time zones)
Focus on Talent Management and developing the team
5+ years managing contractors & partners
Experience using SW solutions to improve service and aftercare
Knowledge of electric safety and functional safety (according to ISO26262)
