.We are looking for a Lead Dev Ops Engineer in Barcelona, Spain to join our globally diverse cloud architecture and Dev Ops engineering team.
This is an opportunity to work with a variety of tools like Terraform, Datadog, AWS Code Pipeline, Azure Dev Ops, and various AWS services.
We would love to speak with you if you have skills in ECS, AWS EKS, Terraform, and creating CI/CD Pipelines.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments 7 years of experience as Developer or Dev Ops work experience, with at least 4 years in the Dev Ops space.
At least 4 years of AWS experience managing resources in some subset of the following services: RDS, EC2, IAM, Route53, VPC, EKS, Web Application Firewall (WAF), Cloud Front, and Lambda.
At least 4 years of experience developing Pipelines on a build server (Azure Dev Ops/Jenkins, etc.).
At least 3 years of experience with Container orchestration tools ECS or EKS, Docker, Terraform, including experience writing Dockerfiles and Kubernetes manifests.
At least 1 year of experience working with Event Driven Architecture (Async cloud Architecture).
At least 1 year of experience working with observability (metrics, logs, and traces).
Scripting experience in Linux, Bash.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Ability to "read the docs" and learn new technologies.
At least 1 year of experience working with monitoring tools.
It would be great if you also had: Experience with package managers (e.G., Helm, Git Ops) and other Kubernetes tools.
Python programming experience.
Experience with AWS S3 data and database maintenance practices (such as backup-and-restore).
Datadog experience is a plus.
A Kubernetes or AWS Certification.
What will you be doing in this role?
Upgrading and improving our Kubernetes clusters.
Troubleshooting environment-related problems with Development teams.
Improving and extending our monitoring, including some time on a support rotation.
Improving and extending our Pipeline automation.
Writing Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform.
Bringing new ideas to the team.
Product you will be developing There are a few products we support in the Intellectual Property space.
Those products rely on AWS ECS, AWS EKS, Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, and various AWS services (such as Beanstalk, IAM, EC2, RDS, Route53, Lambda, Cloudfront, WAF, S3), Kong, and others.
About the Team Our team works mostly with Developers, Dev Ops, Product Managers, and QA to help make improvements to current systems, deploy new systems, and help retire old systems.
We also contribute experience with AWS, networking, monitoring, security, and system configuration.
Our team is 13 people, including 7 Dev Ops engineers, 3 Senior Technical Architects, and 3 Managers.
