Western Union powers your pursuitThis position is responsible for supporting Western Union and its licensed affiliates/subsidiaries in its regulatory compliance obligations, including the coordination of regulatory examinations by supervisory and AML regulatory authorities, coordination of AML independent reviews, external audits and third party/bank visits regarding Western Union's global compliance program.
This role is the official repository of all books and records related to examination, audit and due diligence of WUPSIL's compliance programs.
This position will not only have responsibility for anti-money laundering requirements for the assigned functions, but also such responsibilities will be expanded to other regulatory and compliance areas or functional programs such as regulatory compliance management and consumer protectionRole Responsibilities:Fulfillment and coordination of responses and on-site visits for examinations and audits for applicable licensed affiliates/subsidiaries regarding the Company's regulatory, AML, fraud, and consumer protection programs.
Fulfillment and coordination of responses and on-site visits for third parties (banking partners) regarding the Company's AML program.Maintaining the central repository of all materials provided during the scope of an exam, audit, adhoc or due diligence request.Responding to due diligence requests from third parties (Agents, partners) and/or banking partners as submitted by the Regional Compliance teams, to liaison with the Business, Legal, Compliance, Treasury, etc.
and for providing documentation approved for release to non-regulatory bodies.Coordination of global regulatory examinations and audits, including but not limited to relationship management; audit and exam materials; coordinating and preparing responses and timely resolution.Uniformity in presentation of our regulated businesses to auditors and examiners, to escalate and communicate findings and violations to senior management and to track trends based on findings noted across audit and examination reports.Independently review information provided by various subject matter experts to ensure documentation provided is responsive and timely.Educate subject matter experts by providing them information regarding audits, exams, licensing and due diligence requests to ensure appropriate data is gathered and presented to auditors, examiners, regulators and third parties.Special projects as assigned by the Manager/Sr.
Manager or Group Leader of the Global Regulatory Management teamRole Requirements5+ years of relevant experience in complex retail/consumer financial services/payment services organizations with multiple financial products, or a regulatory agency or law firm involving compliance issues relating to anti money laundering, and applicable regional laws and regulations.
5e+ years of experience in any of the following areas: regulatory oversight, general financial compliance, risk-based compliance, exam management, or anti-money laundering compliance.Understanding of retail/commercial financial services products.
Understanding of anti-money laundering regulations within the banking/payment services industry.
Must have a global perspective.
Must have the ability to work closely with the businesses.
Team player who works effectively with others to identify and resolve issues; shares information and keeps team members and management informed.Strong organizational skills - must be multi-tasked oriented and able to balance pressure and deadlines with constantly changing priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail oriented.Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience requiredCAMS/CFCS certification preferred.
Written and spoken fluency in EnglishDemonstrated ability to drive financial strategy and provide leadership in a dynamic environment .
