As a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you'll play a pivotal role in providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management for children with mental health needs. Minimum Qualifications: Board Eligible and Board Certified in General PsychiatryClear and Active Medical License in the state of Virginia (or willing to obtain)MD or DO degreeAt least 2 years of experienceValid US Driver's LicensePreferred Qualifications: Board Certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent PsychiatryRelated Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Understanding of community and public health to support individuals in accessing community resourcesAbility to provide personalized services, assess needs, and ensure quality standards are metKnowledge of mental health, intellectual disabilities, substance abuse, and relevant treatmentsFamiliarity with psychiatric medications and treatmentsProficiency in database systems and software for documentationEffective communication within interdisciplinary teamsAbility to develop reports, create presentations, and communicate findings to both internal and external audiencesAbility to identify and measure outcomesAbility to maintain positive working relationships and adapt to changes professionallyMay be called upon to travel to any facility worksite, transport clients, and provide services to clients at other locations. Regular attendance at trainings and company meetings may require travel to a variety of sites. Participation in behavioral intervention training, including de-escalation technique.
