The VP Performance / Progress is responsible for:
Target setting and reporting performance of our sustainability initiatives.Ensuring the sustainability function and business have the right tools, capabilities, and processes in place to deliver our sustainability ambition, with a special focus on digitalization.Embedding sustainability throughout our business decision-making processes to enable us to create sustainability value and impact.At dsm-firmenich, we want to be a force for good. Your key responsibilitiesEstablish performance metrics and KPIs to track the results and effectiveness for value creation and societal & planetary impact of our sustainability programs.Provide strategic and technical guidance to stakeholders for all aspects of sustainability value creation.Embed sustainability into our equity story in close collaboration with the Investor Relations team.Lead the digitalization of the Sustainability function in close collaboration with our Digital & Tech team for a data-led, digitally-enabled sustainability function with a focus on value creation.Ensure regulatory compliance, with a special focus on CSRD.Develop and deliver sustainability reporting, ratings, and certifications in line with evolving requirements and business needs. Deliver a high-quality, engaging Sustainability Report as part of our IAR.Ensure effective interfaces to our assurance provider, internal controls, and finance compliance functions.Embed sustainability into processes and decision-making to drive cultural change.Ensure sustainability programs are embedded in P/L and balance sheet.Be the custodian of our ESG data (one source of truth) and monitor the evolving ESG regulatory landscape, customer, and investor expectations for sustainability leadership and together with the leadership team translate them into capability-building programs.Set up process for and lead sustainable portfolio steering.We bringA rich history and a promising future of bold scientific innovation and passionate creation with our customers.A space to grow by encouraging and supporting curiosity and an open mindset.The opportunity to work for a company where sustainability is much more than a claim and is core to our strategy and purpose.A flexible work environment that empowers people to take accountability for their work and own the outcome.Barrier-free communities within our organization where every employee is equally valued and respected - regardless of their background, beliefs, or identity.You bring10-15 years of experience in sustainability, ideally in a broad e2e sustainability strategy role; past responsibility for ESG reporting is a clear plus.Passion for sustainability, put to practice in a role focused on positive societal impact and business value.Experience in leading large-scale transformation programs requiring senior-level management alignment, strong change management, shaping, and influencing skills.Experience in technology-driven transformation programs, leveraging data and technology to drive insights-led value creation, effectiveness, and efficiency of delivery.Proven track record as a leader and change agent in a global, matrix organization: excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to inspire and influence internal teams and external partners.Academic Master's Degree in any of the following disciplines: sustainability, international relations/politics, environmental studies, engineering, economics, business administration, or similar.Recruiting Process:Are you interested in joining our team?
