Who you are
You are a dedicated, hard-working Security Operations Engineer who loves to work as part of a multi-layered team. You are organized, able to find the needle in a haystack, can both deal with clients and make yourself heard with colleagues, and have the ability to find solutions to old and new problems by thinking out of the box.
What will you do
- Reporting to the Chief Platform Architect, this position involves planning, updating, and maintaining the security measures, defenses, and counteractions to stop and avoid internal and external computer-system occurrences.
- As an operation's security engineer, the security service range should be followed day in and out.
- You will lead the case response work, ensuring that different occurrences are focused on completion and that the correct resources are brought into line to provide the total quality of the company's security response system.
- Perform regular infrastructure configuration and vulnerability scans and manage the resolution of threats (vulnerability management).
- Coordinate teams in case of a security incident (Incident Handling and Response).
- Be involved in different security projects (Threat Hunting, Reconnaissance assessment, Phishing campaigns).
- Monitor system security relating to resilience, malware intrusion, and patching.
- Conduct periodic user access control verifications.
- Assess technical controls and identify areas of improvement.

What do you need
Must have
- Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with an emphasis on security control.
- 2+ years of experience in AWS (Security Services) and 2+ years of experience in a software company, supporting or leading secure operations.
- 1+ years of experience in managing the deployment of cybersecurity compensating controls such as monitoring, patching, segmentation, whitelisting, firewalls, etc.
- Knowing the threat assessment tools, skills, and procedures.
- Experience in managing Linux/Unix Operating systems.
Bonus points
- Work experience in Single Sign-On using SAML and SCIM provisioning.
- AWS Certified Security - Specialty Certification.
- Work experience in AWS Organization, AWS IAM, AWS Security Hub, AWS WAF, Amazon GuardDuty, AWS Config, Amazon Inspector, and AWS Systems Manager.
- Work experience in SIEM technologies (Elastic SIEM, Splunk, Logrhythm).
- Certificate in the field of Security Operations such as SSCP, CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, and OSCP.
- Have experience in security auditing (ISO 27001/17).
