Background The UCAM-SENS is a scientific unit that strives for the true digital transformation of key domains such as Health, Sport, Food, and the Environment by using advanced (bio)chemical sensing based on electrochemistry and imaging principles. The unit is located at HiTech (Health, Sport, and Innovation Hub) research building, in an international, multicultural and multidisciplinary environment where people, ideas, knowledge, and necessities meet to pose and address new societal challenges.
Knowledge and Skills The Laboratory Technician must have the following background:
Education: Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or an FP degree in Laboratory Technology. Knowledge: Good Laboratory Practices, maintenance of laboratory equipment, waste disposal management, chemical reagent management, conduct research experiments. Experience: Proven experience among analytical techniques, analytical instrumentation (IC, GC, HPLC, MS), laboratory preparation and maintenance, writing of protocols. Attributes: Methodical and organized, able to work independently, and collaborate effectively with others. Skills: Ability to analyse and work with high technical specialization. Language: Advanced English level (B2/C1). After the qualification requirements, great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and personal suitability.
