NoOffer Description Nuria Flames' group at the Instituto de Biomedicina de Valencia, Spain (IBV-CSIC) employs a multidisciplinary approach combining cellular biology, genomics, molecular genetics and bioinformatics both in murine and C. elegans animal models to investigate the transcriptional and post-transcriptional mechanisms involved in specification, plasticity and evolution of neuron-types relevant in health and in disease. The lab is currently funded by the Spanish government and European Union (ERC Consolidation grant).The group is searching for a highly motivated laboratory technician to collaborate in research projects with the following functions:Generation of transgenic animals.Cloning and molecular biology techniques.Preparation of buffers and general laboratory tasks.Follow established protocols and procedures to carry out experiments including genetic analyses by fluorescence microscopy and other techniques of molecular biology.Requirements Candidates should meet the following requisites:Superior formative cycle degree in clinic and biomedical laboratory (or equivalent).Good organizational and communication skills.Good work ethics and attention to detail.Positive attitude towards learning.The following attributes would also be evaluated:Previous experience in research.Previous experience with the animal model of the laboratory (C. elegans).We offer a full-time laboratory technician position starting from December 1st, 2024.
