Laboratory Technician For The General Analysis Characterization Unit And Electron Microscopy Platform

POSITION DESCRIPTION : CIC energiGUNE is seeking a Laboratory Technician to work in the General Analysis Characterization Unit and participate in the activities of the Electron Microscopy Platform.
Job functions: Keep updated the tools for registering and organizing the analysis requests.
Ensure all the material necessary for fluent work in the different analysis techniques.
Sample preparation, development of calibrations (if necessary), conducting routine or nonspecific measurements and record all data and results in specified forms with accuracy and responsibility.
Participation in the drafting of quality procedures and their implementation according to internal quality standards.
Taking care of the maintenance of the equipment and facilities.
Provide technical support to different research projects, making contribution to those projects ensuring compliance with analysis and report deadlines.
Ensure that all safety guidelines are always followed strictly and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
Introduction and basic training about different techniques when necessary.

Degree in Chemistry, Physics, Material sciences or related fields.
Theoretical and practical experience in different analytical and microscopy techniques as: Scanning electron microscope (SEM)/microscopies.
Includes also experience in sample preparation for SEM measurements.
Gas Chromatography (GC/MS, GC FID/BID), CHSNO Elemental Analysis or Physical adsorption of gas (BET) Ability to identify and solve technical problems.
Proficiency for quickly learning new skills or field of study.
Good verbal skills in English.
Proactive and committed attitude with high levels of initiative, proactivity, and willingness to learn.
A good team player who can collaborate with other team members.
