JOB DESCRIPTION: CIC energiGUNE is searching for a laboratory technician for Organic & Hybrid Materials group to work on the development of organic materials to be implemented in the different technologies developed in the center, both next generation lithium batteries and post-lithium technologies.
Main job functions: Synthesis and characterization of organic materials - standard laboratory purification techniques and use of analytical instruments for structural, physico-chemical and electrochemical characterization. Integration of organic functional materials in energy storage devices. Main techniques to be used: Standard operating procedures for synthesis of organic compounds and characterization. Structural & physicochemical characterization: nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), UV-Vis, Raman, elemental analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, calorimetry (DSC). Electrolyte preparation and characterization: physicochemical (conductivity, viscosity, density) and electrochemical (linear and cyclic voltammetry studies). Cell integration and component characterization. Area: Electrochemical energy storage (EES)

Experience in Electrochemical characterization techniques (galvanostatic cycling, CV, impedance measurements etc.) will be positively considered. Organization and time management skills.
