CIC energiGUNE is a research center specialized in energy, electrochemical storage (batteries and supercapacitors), thermal energy solutions, and hydrogen, a member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance- BRTA, and a strategic initiative of the Basque Government.

CIC energiGUNE is seeking a Laboratory Technician to work in the processing and characterization of electrolytes and related materials.
The candidate will prepare samples for high energy density lithium metal batteries and will characterize the synthetized materials using analytical instruments.
TECHNIQUES TO BE USED: Electrolyte/electrode preparation, cell integration, and component characterization.Structural and physicochemical characterization: nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Raman, ICP, X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, gel permeation chromatography (GPC), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM).Batteries characterization: Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), Cyclic voltammetry (CV), Galvanostatic cycling (GC).We are offering a temporary contract and advantageous professional development opportunities with the possibility of renewal based upon satisfactory job performance, continuing availability of funds, and ongoing operational needs.
