Description LABORATORY TECHNICIAN Purpose of Role The Laboratory technician will report directly to the Head of Science and will work closely with all the members of the Science department to ensure the safe, efficient, and smooth operation of all the science laboratory activities.
The post holder will be expected to demonstrate excellent health and safety handling regarding chemicals and organisational skills to multitask different activities and responsibilities.
It is preferred if the appointee has experience working in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities Prepare equipment for group experiments for classes.
Manage inventory and other science departments equipment.
Order new equipment and supplies timely.
Support teacher demonstrating classroom practices and experiments.
Manage and maintain the science department preparation areas.
Provide risk assessment and trainings for staff for specific chemicals.
Accurately prepare chemical solutions in a safe manner.
Provide support during practical examinations and assessment for students.
Work as a member of the science department team and collaborate with teachers.
