The Biosensors for Bioengineering Group is looking for a lab assistant candidate to participate in a multidisciplinary team and to support the research work on developing new biomaterials integrated with organs-on-chip technology. The research will be conducted in the framework of a Pathfinder EU project in collaboration with companies and other research groups.
Main tasks and responsibilities: Participate in a team of researchers focused on developing biomaterials and their integration with organs-on-a-chip technology.Integration in line in microfluidic devices with 3D engineered tissues to perform in-line monitoring of different relevant biomarkers.Requirements for candidates: Currently enrolled in a Degree in any field of bioengineering, chemistry, or physics.Competencies and skills: excellent communication and teamwork skills, proactivity, commitment, critical thinking, integrity, and analytical thinking.High level of English.Advantageous: Experience in data analysis with specialized software (Matlab, R, Python or similar).Experience with cell cultivation techniques will be considered a plus.Experience in microfabrication techniques/protocols and working in cleanroom environments will be considered a plus.We Offer: Number of available positions: 1Working conditions:Part-time Temporary contract.Measures to reconcile work and family life (maternity and paternity leave, flexible schedule working hours, 23 working days of paid holidays, 9 leave days for personal matters, among others).Very competitive salary.IBEC ensures equal access to professional development opportunities irrespective of employment status, length at IBEC or other factors.Stimulating, interdisciplinary research and a high-quality international scientific environment.Induction programme to facilitate incorporation at IBEC and additional support is provided for foreigners to obtain Visa-working permits and to install in Barcelona.Only those applications submitted before the deadline will be evaluated.
