Laboratory Analyst I

Performs laboratory tests required by Saybolt's clients with supervision, to determine chemical or physical characteristics designated by the client.General ResponsibilitiesAnalyst I shall assist other chemists from the department and Chief Analyst or Laboratory Account Managers in their responsibility duties of the laboratory.Analyst I is responsible for the efficient work within the laboratory, ensuring that client needs are met accurately and in a timely manner.The functions to be developed by the chemists are mainly included within the laboratory activity, so the development and fulfillment of the functions of the description of each job, including the specific service of standby, constitute a function of the job and are carried out within the ordinary working day, as long as they are performed as effective working time.Analyst I is responsible for running the analysis at the lowest possible costs while meeting the requirements for safety, quality of service, and maintenance of assets. Analyst I must ensure full cooperation with their department and Managers on all assignments.Must follow all company procedures as established by Saybolt and Core Laboratories, including but not limited to HSE Manual, Accounting Policies & Procedures, Saybolt Administration Instruction Letter, IT procedures, Ethics Policy, Saybolt Compliance Code, etc. Must keep themselves updated and aware of all updates and act accordingly.Chemists or Lab Analysts are expected to exhibit a professional appearance and attitude.
