Laboratory Analyst I

Laboratory Analyst I Job Purpose Performs laboratory tests required by Saybolt's clients with supervision, to determine chemical or physical characteristics designated by the client.
General Responsibilities Assist other chemists from the department and Chief Analyst or Laboratory Account Managers in their responsibilities within the laboratory.
Ensure efficient work within the laboratory to meet client needs accurately and on time.
Develop and fulfill the functions of the job description, including specific service standby, during ordinary working hours as effective working time.
Run analyses at the lowest possible costs while meeting safety, quality of service, and asset maintenance requirements.
Ensure full cooperation with department and managers on all assignments.
Follow all company procedures as established by Saybolt and Core Laboratories, including HSE Manual, Accounting Policies & Procedures, Saybolt Administration Instruction Letter, IT procedures, Ethics Policy, and Saybolt Compliance Code.
Maintain an updated awareness of all procedures and act accordingly.
Exhibit a professional appearance and attitude, and act in harmony with fellow employees.
Report directly to Chief Analyst and/or Laboratory Account Managers.
