Lilly, a multinational pharmaceutical company, leader in research, development and commercialization of innovative products, needs to incorporate a Lab Automation Engineer.
The Discovery Chemistry Research & Technologies organization within Lilly Research Laboratories (LRL) is seeking a qualified laboratory automation professional to support our automation solutions at Madrid, Spain.
ResponsibilitiesWork closely with scientists to fully understand workflows.Collaborate with existing team members to design, develop, and implement automation tools, both hardware and software, aimed at optimizing processes in DCRT laboratories.Provide quality support to existing processes and instruments, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues and routine maintenance.Coordinate with vendors and engineering companies for preventive maintenance visits and corrective problem solving.Program laboratory instruments, developing scripts for liquid handlers and other automation equipment installed in DCRT laboratories.Lead the implementation of new automation systems, gather requirements, and develop execution plans.Look out for new lab automation technology and trends.Basic RequirementsBS in engineering, chemistry, or related field.At least 3 years experience in automated laboratory systems.Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and in multidisciplinary teams.Strong collaborative skills for critical interaction with scientists from multiple disciplines.Fluent in English (C1/advanced).Additional Skills/PreferencesDemonstrated problem solving ability.Experience programming liquid handlers (e.g., Tecan, Hamilton, Beckman, etc.
).Relevant mechanical knowledge regarding laboratory instrumentation.Knowledge of CAD design tools (Autodesk Inventor, Solid Works, etc.
).Programming knowledge in C# (preferable) or Python.Ability to work independently.Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.CATEGORIA: Ingenieros y técnicos
